I'm Tamar (this is pronounced Taymar - for those who get anxious about difficult names).

If you are struggling with an area of your life, counselling may be able to help you. Counselling gives you a safe space to explore what is causing you difficulty and aims to help you find a way forward. It is not always an easy journey, but I am here to walk alongside you. I'm happy to work with most issues, both short- and long-term, so please get in touch either by phone, text or email and we can discuss your needs.

I specialise in working with emergency services staff and can use the Rewind Trauma Therapy technique to help with flashbacks and nightmares following having been involved in, or witnessing, a traumatic event (Rewind is free for military veterans - proof of service required). Talking therapy can then be used to process whatever is bothering you, without the fear of flashbacks.

I work with life transitions (such as divorce, menopause, new parents, retirement and preparing for end of life).

I am accredited to work with pregnancy and infant loss and bereavement to work with parents and birth professionals around birth, pregnancy or postnatal trauma. I also have training to work with dissociative identity disorder and I am a workplace mediator and an ILM 5 level Coach.

Sessions can be paid for with cash or card (at the start of your session) or by bank transfer (before your session). Sessions are usually weekly.

I'm Kate Hall. You might be seeking counselling if you are experiencing difficulties in a particular area of your life, such as at work or in your family life, or you are facing a change in your life circumstances. Perhaps you feel something is not working well in your personal or professional relationships and you would like to change this. Whatever the issue, counselling seeks to work out what the difficulties are and support you in finding a way forward. Together, we can explore what might work best for you and for your situation. I work as a person centred counsellor whilst also drawing upon several theoretical frameworks. I view relationships as central to reflecting on what is happening as well as providing the environment in which change can take place. Counselling may not always feel easy. I am committed to offering you a safe and non-judgemental environment within which to explore your issues. I hope that you will find it a thought-provoking and rewarding experience.

I offer both face-to-face sessions and telephone counselling. I also offer relationship counselling. Please get in touch to discuss which option would work better for you.

Sessions can be paid for with cash (at the start of your session face-to-face) or by bank transfer (before your session).

Qualifications: BEd, Dip Therapeutic Couns, Cert. Couns. Studies, MBACP
