Walk and Talk Therapy - coming in 2027

Walk and Talk Therapy

For those of you who find sitting opposite another person too intense, Tamar also offers walk and talk therapy.

You and your therapist will walk alongside each other for the session. Please be aware that we will be in public places and so may pass other people at times.

You have a choice of venues for this option of therapy. You can choose Thornton Reservoir or Anstey Park (next to Anstey Community Library).

Thornton Reservoir

Address: Reservoir Road, Thornton, Leicestershire LE67 1AR

Thornton Reservoir is a quiet and peaceful place to really appreciate nature. Owned by Severn Trent Water and opened to the public in 1997, the reservoir has a mixture of habitats and a woodland on the north shore. The 2.5-mile circular track around the reservoir has level access and is great for walkers, cyclists and wheelchair users. The circular route takes around 45-50 mins, depending on walking speed. You will meet Tamar in the main car park (pictured) and take the accessible circular route around the main walkway, back the car park. Whilst there is a path the entire route, it can get muddy with puddles when it has been wet so please wear appropriate footwear. There is free parking in the car park.

Anstey Park

Address: Next to the Anstey Community Library, Paper Mill Close, Anstey LE7 7AU

Anstey Park is an open green space next to the library. It is a grassy area which is relatively flat. You will meet Tamar outside the library and due to this being a smaller area, you will walk circuits around the park for the duration of your session (50 mins). Again, please wear appropriate attire for the weather and ground. There is free parking outside the library.

Sessions are £60) each.
